Polar Vortex Storm in Texas

5/5/2021 (Permalink)

Snow storms can have their ups and downs. This year Texas got hit with a huge Polar Vortex Storm. Our IICRC certified crews were called out to assist with the water restoration in Texas. There are a few important steps to take before a professional comes to mitigate the water damage.

First, immediately report your water loss to SERVPRO, have the professionals take care of the heavy work. As the water restoration technicians are on their way, it is important to remove standing water after a storm. If it is safe, you can do this by simply placing unused towels over the standing water.

Once your local SERVPRO arrives they will be able to use the proper equipment to extract water, clean up, and mitigate the damages. Our crews are trained to use a variety of water detection and water extraction equipment to ensure proper water removal.
